In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top five air travel apps in the United Kingdom exhibited diverse trends in user engagement and downloads. Here is a closer look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

easyJet: Travel App saw its weekly downloads start at around 50K at the end of September, dipping to a low of approximately 29K in late November, before rebounding to 35K in the last week of December. Active users fluctuated throughout the quarter, peaking at 275K in mid-October and ending the year at about 262K.

Ryanair experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads from 42K at the beginning of the quarter to a low of 24K in mid-December, closing out the year with 30K downloads. Active users also saw a slight downward trend, starting at 215K and ending at 197K.

Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker had an interesting revenue pattern, starting at $58K in late September and gradually decreasing to around $31K by the end of December. Downloads mirrored this trend, starting at 41K, dipping to a low of 15K in late November, and then rising to 27K in the last week of December. Active users also saw fluctuations, peaking at 256K in late October and ending the quarter at 218K.

British Airways maintained relatively stable weekly downloads around the 23K mark throughout the quarter. Active users hovered around 140K, with minor fluctuations, ending the year with 142K active users.

Lastly, Wizz Air - Book Flights saw its downloads fluctuate between 13K and 18K, finishing December with 16K downloads. Active users remained fairly steady, starting at 82K and closing the quarter at 84K.
